regatta time! The Pack 843 Raingutter Regatta will be held during our April Pack Meeting, at 7:00 on Friday April 20th at the pavilion behind Zion Lutheran Church.  It is outside so dress appropriately.  All the boat kits for the Raingutter Regatta have been distributed to the den leaders.  If you did not get a boat kit yet, you should contact your den leader. The rules are the same as last year, and are available on the “resources” page or directly from this link.  In summary:  Make the boat look like the one on the box — no box or cup sails are allowed.  Decorate the boat the way you want, and we will have a vote for Best In Show.  During the race, two boys will go head-to-head, using their own wind power to move their boat.

Meetings This Week

Wednesday, November 16th will the the next Den Meeting, at the South Fayette Elementary School.  Starting time is set by each den.

DUES — It’s time to pay yearly dues for the Pack rechartering, which takes place in December.  You can get your balance due at the front desk during the den meeting, and you can pay your balance at that time, too.  As a guideline:

  • If you sold no popcorn and worked no show-n-sells, you will owe $100
  • If you sold at least one item, or worked one show-n-sell, your base rate is $80.  Sales values will reduce that amount, so check at the desk.
  • If you sold $350 or more, you’re PAID IN FULL!

Scout TalentThe November Pack Meeting will be this Friday, November 18th in the South Fayette MIDDLE SCHOOL Auditorium.  We start at 7:00, so don’t be late!  This will be our annual pack talent show, so everyone remember to practice your songs or skits on Wednesday!

DUES should be paid at the Pack Meeting if you don’t pay on Wednesday.  All scouts who have paid the dues will receive their Pinewood Derby Car kit at the end of the meeting!
