The songs we will be singing are available in this pdf.  Please print these out and have your boys practice prior to Wednesday so that they are familiar with the songs.  Parents are encouraged to sing with us as well.

We will bring about 30 booklets of the songs with us next week.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me at mark@gubinskylaw.com

Help Needed! Church Cleanup

ScoutsAtWorkEvery year the Zion Lutheran Church (our Pack’s charter organization) does a fall clean-up day, and invites the Cub Scouts to pitch in.   This year the clean-up day will be on Saturday, November 22nd.  They will begin about 9:00.

Bob Long, the Den 11 den leader, will be helping to coordinate the Pack’s effort.  Please contact him at longre93 (at) gmail.com with any questions, or to let him know that you can help.  The church has asked that helpers bring work gloves and an extra rake if you have one.  If you wear your uniform, then everyone will be able to tell that our Pack is helping out (and that’s good publicity!)

This is a great chance for the boys to show the Church how much we appreciate their support.  It adds community service hours to their scout record, and (believe it!) the boys will have a good time pitching in.

Haunted Cabin

Haunted CabinCome meet the Ghosts and Ghoulies, the Three Legged Beasties, and all the Critters that call the cabin their home.  Some are small and some are tall, some are covered in hair, some will give you a frightful stare.  No matter what critter you meet on your journey, they are all “just dying” to meet you at the Haunted Cabin 2014!

Troop 248 in Oakdale will be running their annual Haunted Cabin on October 22, 23, 24, and 25, at 248 Clinton Ave, Oakdale, from 7:00 to 9:00 each night.

As a Pack, we will be going to the Cabin together in Thursday, October 23rd.  We’ll meet in front of the cabin at 7:30.  As a group, everyone will receive the discounted admission rate of $3.

So come out on Thursday and have a scary good time, while helping to support local Scouting!  Refreshments will be available, too.  (Standard disclaimer:  this may be a little too scary for some younger scouts.  Use your best judgement about your own kids.)
