All Pack 843 Cub Scouts and their immediate families are invited to attend this annual buffet dinner, our yearly celebration of Cub Scouting!  We will be recognizing the achievements and advancements within the Pack, as well as celebrating the Webelos II scouts crossing over into Boy Scouting.  The event takes place Sunday February 28th from 3 to 6 PM at Fairview VFD Banquet Hall.

* Cake contest details:  Each Scout and an adult partner are challenged to bake and decorate a Scout themed cake.  Some examples are camping, achievement activities, good deeds, etc.  There will be ribbons for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place.  The entire cake, including decorations, must be edible. No paper, toothpicks etc.  Only the thing it sits on doesn’t have to be edible but that can’t be part of the decoration.  After the competition the cakes will be served for desert so we would like as many participants as possible.  Place the Scout’s name on the underside of the cake so the competition is as anonymous as possible.  Judging will be done by the 3 Scoutmasters from the Boy Scout Troops that our Webelos II Scouts will be joining.

Service Project at Zion

ScoutsAtWorkFirst a note from Friday’s Pack Meeting — If anyone lost anything (like hats or glasses), contact the Cubmaster.

The Zion Lutheran Church is having a workday on Sunday November 29th at 12:30 (after church services) for cleaning up the leaves around the property. There will be pizza and drinks for lunch when you begin.  If you have a rake or a tarp – bring it along.

Remember that Zion is our charter organization, and it’s great to be able to help them out.  And we need the service hours to help our Pack earn the GOLD standard of the “Journey to Excellence” this year.  So please pitch in!
