Cub Scout Pack 843 is chartered by the Resurrection Church in Oakdale and meets the first and third Wednesday of each month at South Fayette Elementary or Intermediate school (depending on age). We hold a once monthly pack meeting, which is usually on a Friday evening, or Saturday or Sunday afternoon. In addition, the pack hosts special events through the year and over the summer, such as camping, fishing, acting as colorguard, etc. Check out our calendar to see what events are upcoming, or our facebook page to see photos of past events! Pack meetings and special events vary from year to year, but some things we may enjoy this year include:
- Pinewood Derby (January)
- Family Camping
- Winter Camp at Heritage Reservation
- Fishing derby
- Rocket launches
- Memorial Day Parade
- Pirates Colorguard
- Kayaking/boating/swimming
- Bike Rally and Ride on the Montour Trail
The pack is divided into “dens” by grade level in school:
- Lions – Kindergarten
- Tigers – Grade 1
- Wolves – Grade 2
- Bears – Grade 3
- Webelos – Grade 4
- Arrow of Light – Grade 5
Each den meets together to work on advancements with skills such as physical activity, teamwork, outdoors safety and skills, building and engineering, and more!
Our pack is entirely powered by volunteers! All of our leadership team are volunteers, and as such we are always looking for more help and support to make our events even more special and exciting!
If you are interested in joining, please see our page on “How to Join” or reach out to the Pack Cubmaster!
